The Giro d’Italia is joining in the centenary celebrations with Maserati this year as the Trident marque celebrates the first one hundred years of its history.
The tenth stage (from Modena to Salsomaggiore Terme) of the great pink race saw its kilometre zero symbolically placed in front of the main entrance of the historic Maserati factory, in via Divisione Acqui, Modena.
The kilometre zero marks the beginning of each of the stages that make up the great Italian cycling race. Placing the kilometre zero of the tenth stage in front of the entrance to the headquarters of Maserati in Modena, the Giro d’Italia intended to pay homage to those women and men who, in 100 years of history, have worked towards the success of a company that today is one of the major symbols of Made in Italy in the world. This recognition from the Giro d’Italia has given much pride and enormous satisfaction to Maserati.
Today at 13:00 the peloton of cyclists and convoy of the 97th Giro d’Italia lined up in front of Maserati between two sides of cheering crowds composed of workers and employees of the House of the Trident.
